This standard through girder bridge crosses Westminster Street in St. Paul.
Built in 1919, the bridge features a large through girder main span. In addition, it is approached by trestle spans on either side. The bridge runs at a heavy skew and sits on timber substructures. In addition to the timber substructures, the main piers of the bridge are steel.
Unique to this bridge, the piers are more of an L shape than a traditional shape. Overall, the bridge appears to remain in fair condition. Some deterioration was noted, and truck strikes have damaged the floor.
The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
